This is my first post on blog. Well I'm absolutely thrilled about this.!!!!!
I am not sure that somebody (except my friends and family ) is reading. Writing here is like talking to yourself. At least for now. But I think I'll get used..)
Anyway, lets get closer to the topic. Why ice cream? Because it's summer (though it seems to be an autumn outside! 12 degrees above zero.) So ice cream for icy weather.
And why strawberry? Simply because it is strawberry season in Ukraine. It would have been a crime if I didn't make something of them)
Mint...? It was a creative impulse)
Okay, now on to the recipe)
250 g strawberries
2 tbsp lemon juice
250 ml heavy whipping cream
400 g sweetened condensed milk
3-4 sprigs of mint
Mix strawberries, lemon juice and mint in a blender until smooth. In a separate bowl whip cream until soft peaks. Mix in strawberry puree and condensed milk.
If you are a lucky owner of an ice cream maker (that is not me..) then just freeze mixture according to the instruction.
Before serving remove from a freezer for a while to let the ice cream soften a bit.
